Terms of service

Trovy is an online project and task management tool, accessible through a web app, a public SDK, a command-line interface (CLI) and a dedicated MCP server. The service includes a Kanban board, a list view, a calendar, time tracking, generative AI features and two-way synchronization with third-party services (e.g. GitHub).

Trovy offers several plans, including a limited free plan and paid plans. Detailed features of each plan are available on the Pricing page. Specific commercial terms apply in addition to these ToS for paid plans.

To use Trovy, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You may also sign in through a third-party identity provider (e.g. GitHub) where this option is available.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all actions taken from your account. Trovy cannot be held liable for unauthorized use resulting from a breach of this obligation.

You agree to provide accurate information at sign-up and to keep it up to date. Creating multiple accounts by the same individual in order to bypass the limits of a free plan is a breach of these ToS.

You agree to use Trovy in compliance with applicable law and these ToS. The following are notably prohibited:

• Using the service for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory purposes or to infringe the rights of third parties.
• Attempting unauthorized access to systems, other users’ data or Trovy infrastructure.
• Deliberately introducing viruses, malicious code or any element that could damage or disrupt the service.
• Unauthorized reverse engineering, automated data extraction (scraping) or reselling the service without prior written agreement.
• Using the service to send unsolicited communications (spam) to other users or third parties.
• Storing illegal, infringing or privacy-violating content.

You retain full ownership of the content you create or import into Trovy (tasks, projects, comments, attachments, etc.). You grant Trovy a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license only to the extent necessary to operate, secure and improve the service.

Trovy does not analyze your content for advertising purposes and does not resell it to third parties. When you use generative AI features, the content sent to AI models is processed according to our privacy policy and the contractual commitments with our technical sub-processors.

You can export your data at any time from your workspace settings. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Free plans are available without payment. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in euros (EUR), US dollars (USD), CFA francs (XOF) or nairas (NGN) depending on your location. Prices shown on the Pricing page include applicable taxes as required by law.

Subscription to a paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel from your customer area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refund is made for the current period, except as provided in our refund policy.

In case of non-payment or payment refusal by your bank, Trovy reserves the right to suspend access to the paid plan and switch the account to the free plan after notification.

All elements of the Trovy service (trademark, logo, source code, interface, documentation, AI models, editorial content) are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remain the exclusive property of Trovy or its licensors.

Nothing in these ToS transfers any intellectual property right in the service to you. The license granted is limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable.

Trovy uses reasonable means to ensure the availability, security and quality of the service. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of total absence of errors or interruptions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Trovy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

Trovy’s total liability under these ToS is limited, for all causes combined, to the amount actually paid by you during the last twelve (12) months for the relevant plan.

You can terminate your account at any time from your workspace settings. Trovy reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of a breach of these ToS, after notification when circumstances allow.

Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days to allow recovery, then deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

Trovy may modify these ToS to reflect legal, technical or commercial developments. Any material change will be communicated by email and via an in-app notification at least 30 days before it takes effect.

If you disagree with the new ToS, you can terminate your account before the effective date. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.

These ToS are governed by the laws of Côte d’Ivoire. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall, after an attempt at amicable settlement, be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abidjan, unless mandatory provisions applicable to consumers provide otherwise.
